The 2022 Silverado 1500 Limited comes with the 2.7L L3B Turbo 14 engine standard on Custom, Work Truck and Custom Trail Boss trim levels. Furthermore, the 5.3 L84 V8 engine and Dynamic Fuel Management are now standard on Work Truck models and available on RST Crew Cab models. 

The final powertrain change pertains to the availability of the Duramax Turbo-Diesel 3.0L LM2 l6 engine that is now provided on LT Trail Boss models.
