The 2020 Chevrolet Sonic Is The Perfect Ride

The 2020 Chevrolet Sonic is a sports subcompact car. The most amazing thing about this subcompact car is that it gives someone the option to get a sedan or hatchback, depending on their transportation needs and aesthetic preferences. Despite being a small car, it has a comfortable cab, whether you are sitting in the front or the back. There is room for five people and 41.8″ legroom in the front and the second row with 34.6″ legroom.

While no subcompact car can be exclusively roomy, the Sonic has room for up to four adults and extreme cargo space, which, despite modest price increases, has more hatchback versatility than a sedan. The safety record is also impressive because it comes out as a rare bright spot in a section that suffers from a lack of safety technology and poor crash-test results.

With these attractive features, the Sonic still comes with many nice features. There are five trims, with both types included- hatchbacks and sedans:

Chevrolet Sonic LS

The 2020 Chevrolet Sonic LS is only available in sedan body style. It comes standard with fabric upholstery, a rearview camera, an infotainment system with a 7-inch touch screen, a 4-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, USB port, Android Auto, and Wi-Fi access.

Chevrolet Sonic LT

In addition to basic trim features, the 2020 Chevrolet Sonic LT comes with power windows, cruise control, premium fabric upholstery, satellite radio, and a 6-speaker audio system. The Convenience Package adds a heated front seat, a 6-way driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, and a remote start. Active safety features such as rear parking sensor, lane departure warning, and frontal collision warning are included in the driver confidence package. A sunroof is also an option.

Chevrolet Sonic Premier

The 2020 Chevrolet Sonic Premier sedans and hatchbacks update the car’s look with spoiler design tips like the black wheel, spoilers, and sports exhaust. It comes with proximity keyless entry, power-adjustable driver seat, push-button start, heated front seats, and synthetic leather upholstery.

Sonic Performance:

A Solid Powertrain

You get only one engine option in Sonic: a turbocharged four-cylinder with 138 hp. It works, whether you’re driving in the city or on the highway, and it’s usually lively. However, it can feel tense to drive on steep hills.

Amazing Gas Mileage

This small Chevrolet produces 26 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. These are good ratings compared to the automotive industry as a whole. However, the smaller cars you buy are the most fuel-efficient non-hybrids, and when compared to the class quality, the number of sonics is lower than average.

Smooth Ride and Handling

The Chevy Sonic delivers sharp steering, which is brisk on windy roads. Sonic offers a much stronger driving experience than many subcompacts. The ride quality gets mixed reviews. With the base suspension, sonic riding is generally better. With the sports suspension available, it gets harder, at which point the ride’s stiffness becomes permanent.

Super Safety:

Crash Test Results

The 2020 Chevy Sonic received five out of five stars in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s overall crash tests ranking. The Chevrolet received five stars in the frontal and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover test.

Great Safety Features

The Chevy Sonic comes equipped with a rearview camera. Available driver assistance features include rear parking sensors, front collision warning, and lane departure warning.
